We are pleased to introduce a new piece of equipment for our Service Department - a handheld data-logger.  The image to the right shows this equipment attached to a hydraulic pump on our in-house test rig.

The data-logger will also be used for on-site visits
and will assist our hydraulics engineer whilst
completing the initial inspection.  Accurate data
will be recorded for analysis and to produce test
certificates.  Our hydraulics engineer will be
working in a safer environment and more
efficiently helping to save our customers valuable
time.

The data-logger is a recently launched product from Webtec Products Ltd and is ideal for diagnostic applications as well as for permanent installation on small hydraulic test benches. It can be used to measure any combination of flow, pressure, temperature, speed and custom analogue inputs.  It is a valuable tool for diagnostic testing as well as preventive maintenance, verifying component settings, pinpointing poor system performance and measuring pressure differentials.

Poclain motor dismantled.  All parts cleaned and inspected.  All seals found to be damaged.  New seals fitted and motor reassembled.

The following parts were used in the repair:-

HD1739  Brake repair kit
BS642     O Ring
BS561     O Ring

The motor was tested in a clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation.

Power Pack Repair

The power pack was brought into our workshop for repair.  It was dismantled and all parts cleaned and inspected.  The gear pump was found to be worn out, with a gear sheared inside.  A new gear pump was fitted to the power pack, which was then tested.

MH400 SHP/2 M&S HYDRAULIC MOTOR REPAIR

Damaged seal

Hydraulic motor dismantled.  All parts cleaned and inspected for wear.  Dust and shaft seals found to be damaged.  New seals fitted.  Hydraulic motor re-assembled and tested in clockwise and anti-clockwise rotations.

The pump was dismantled and all parts cleaned and inspected for wear.  Excessive heat had caused the shaft to shear and gears to seize inside their bearings.
