Spools (pitted)

A customer brought in a Parker Commercial D Line 8 section valve block, off a rig mounted offshore crane, for repair.

The valve block was dismantled, all parts cleaned and inspected. The spools were found to be pitted and the mounting lug on the outlet cover was damaged. The customer wanted only genuine Parker Commercial parts to be used for the repair. So our engineer ordered worksections (spools), relief valves and outlet cover from USA on a 14 week lead time (unfortunately these parts are not available in the UK).

The customer needed a quick fix on the valve block until the genuine parts were received. So our engineer resealed, reassembled and tested it before returning to the customer.

Coloured cable ties

Ingenious use for coloured cable ties!

A 10 bank spool valve was brought into our workshop for inspection. Prior to removing the valve coloured cable ties were fitted to all inlets and outlets of the valve and machinery. The colour cable ties will greatly assist with the refitting of the valve.

Hy-Pro V5 Spool Valve - Marinised

Today in our workshop we have assembled a Hy-Pro V5 Spool Valve using a marinised worksection, making it corrosion resistant and suitable for maritime applications.

The V5 spool valve was assembled using the following components:-

V5-R140-T4 - Inlet
V5-T40 - Outlet
V5-80 - Bolt Kit
V5-HO - Rotary lever
V5-O - Friction Detent Kit
V5-DCXM - Worksection (marinised)

Hy-Pro V5 Spool Valve Assembly

Our engineer built a Hy-Pro V5 spool valve (single section) to suit our customer's specifications, using the following parts:-

The assembled V5 spool valve was checked for operation.

Danfoss OMSW 200 Hydraulic Motor inspection - model 151F5065-2

Internal Part (worn)

A Danfoss OMSW 200 hydraulic motor (model 151F5065-2) was brought to us for inspection.  Our engineer dismantled the unit and cleaned all the parts.  The internal parts were found to be badly worn.  This was communicated to our customer, who instructed for the unit to be resealed only.  The hydraulic motor was resealed, reassembled and tested.

Spool Valve with rotary lever - Hy-Pro

A customer needed a Hy-Pro V5 spool valve with a rotary lever and as it is for a maritime application it has been assembled using a marinised worksection (corrosion resistant).

The Hy-Pro V5 rotary lever has been developed to enable the operator precise control of motors and cylinders.  The lever swings through an 130° arc and works by means of a scroll which converts the rotary action of the lever into axial movement of the spool.  The centring mechanism has a friction detent feature which positively holds the spool in neutral then maintains the selected position.

Used extensively in the forestry and fishing industry to control the speed of conveyors and winches.

Danfoss OMT FX Hydraulic Motor Reseal - model No 151B3228-2

A Danfoss OMT FX hydraulic motor and brake assembly (model number 151B3228-2) was brought to our workshop for repair.  Our engineer dismantled the unit and cleaned all parts.  The gear wheel was severely worn, the output shaft was worn at the seal and the seals were stiff.  These findings were communicated to our customer, who instructed for the unit to be resealed only.  The unit was resealed, reassembled and tested.
