A CAT spool valve taken off a CAT IT 12F wheeled loader was brought into our workshop for inspection.
The spool valve was dismantled, all parts cleaned and inspected for wear. Our engineer found the body seals to be missing or worn; the shock valve (tilt) was not working correctly and the steel balls had worn part of (lift) dentent. All the necessary parts were renewed. The spool valve was re-assembled and tested on our in-house test rig.
